What Makes Our Sheep Different?
Diamond 5 Farms strives to produce hardy, thick - meaty sheep that require low inputs. We like sheep that are tough - parasite resistant, exceptional foragers, multiple producers and fast growing! We want our lambs to hit the 90 lb mark in three months and the 150 lb mark in six months.
Our Lambs are hardy, parasite resistant and conformationally correct. We raise hardy Katahdins that thrive on a pasture based, low input program.
Our katahdins have been bred from the top genetics in the industry. They have high lambing rates, high parasite resistance and wonderful mothering instinct.

Rapid Growth RatesOur genetics have been selected to have rapid growth rates. We like lambs that can hit 60 lbs in 60 days and 90lbs in 90 days and 150lbs in 180 days.
